Eight minutes of time, April 14, 2018, in Nutbush, Tennessee.
Much of my work deals with memory (recording them), and using photography as an excuse to make new ones. I like exploring my surroundings and finding things I want to remember. I primarily do that with still photography, experimenting with video on occasion.
If a photograph reveals a span of time—whether it’s 1/125 of a second or several hours—compressed into one frame, then these videos are simply still photographs revealed across multiple frames. That’s how I approach them, anyway.
I hope you enjoy this slice of time in Nutbush, Tennessee.
